Nana Kitade, also known as Kitade Nana (Bei Chu Nai, Kitade Nana) is a Japanese singer-songwriter. She was born on 2 May 1987. She is the lead singer of The Teenage Kissers and has had (or had) great success as a solo artist or model, actress, fashion designer, and actor. Kitade’s songs are featured in many anime, TV shows and doramas. Kitade was also featured on the cover for the Gothic & Lolita Bible as well as in Neo and Kera magazines. She has traveled to North America, Europe, Asia and Asia.

date. Her sixth single, “Kanashimi no Kizu”, was released July 20 and peaked at #26 on the Oricon chart. The song was used as the theme song of PS2 game Fullmetal Alchemist 3: Kami wo Tsugu Shoujo. On August 1 Kitade participated in the 2005 Hong Kong Comic Festival as the first ever Japanese artist to appear.

On October 4, 2006, Kitade released her eighth single,”Kibou no Kakera”, which was used as the opening theme song for the anime Demashita! Powerpuff Girls Z. The single peaked at #64 on the Oricon singles chart. On December 6, she released her second studio album, I Scream, which featured a cover of Green Day’s “Basket Case”.

Her second single, “Utareru Ame”, debuted February 4, 2004. It peaked at #55 in the Oricon singles charts. Her third single, “Hold Heart”, was released July 22. Kitade was selected as the representative for the Sapporo region by Sony Music Japan in February 2002 and given the chance to make her debut as a singer.

Susumu Nishikawa was a session guitarist and Ringo Shina’s sideman when she submitted her demo in March 2003. She signed a contract with SME Records, a subgroup under Sony Music Japan. She debuted the single “Kesenai Tsumi” on October 29, 2003.
