Nalini Anantharaman is one of the most popular and richest Mathematician who was born on February 26, 1976 in Paris, Île-de- France, France. Nalini Florence Anantharaman was the daughter of two mathematicians. Her mother and father are both Professors at the University of Orleans. In 1994, she entered Ecole Normale Superieure. Francois Ledrappier was her supervisor and she completed her Ph.D. in Paris in 2000 at Universite Pierre et Marie Curie (6 Paris 6). She was an associate professor at Ecole Normale Superieure de Lyon and Ecole Polytechnique in Palaiseau.

Anantharaman was awarded the Infosys Prize in Mathematical Sciences in 2018 for her research on Quantum Chaos. This is one of the most prestigious monetary awards in India, which recognizes excellence in science and research.

She was awarded the Henri Poincare Prize in mathematical physics in 2012, which she shared with Barry Simon, Freeman Dyson and Sylvia Serfaty. Anantharaman was selected for her contributions to “quantum chaos and dynamical systems” and the Schrodinger equation. She also made a significant contribution in solving the problem of quantum unique Ergodicity. She was awarded the Salem Prize in 2011 for her work with the Fourier Series. In 2011, she was awarded the Grand Prix Jacques Herbrand [fr] by the French Academy of Sciences. Nalini Anantharaman was elected a member to Academia Europaea in 2015. She was invited to speak as a plenary speaker at 2018 International Congress of Mathematicians.
