Palash is an architect and a passionate painter. In 2009, he had his solo painting show entitled Of Conflict and Harmony at Gallery of Fine Arts of Asiatic Society in Dhaka. He had his third solo exhibition of Doodle Art, titled “Of Tears and Joyat Dhaka Art Centre”, in June 2011.

From 1982 to 1988, he attended Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology to earn his bachelor’s in Architecture. He founded Vistraara Architects and joined BUET the following year. In 1998, he quit his position as assistant professor to pursue his passion full time. Palash is a member of Institute of Architects Bangladesh and an international associate member of AIA. He also belongs to Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat. Palash is also a member of Institute of Architects Bangladesh and the World Architecture Community. Palash is currently the president of Architecture Alumni Association of BUET (7th and 14th Executive Committees, respectively).
