He wrote and acted on Ee Adutha Kaalathu and Tiyaan as well as Left Right Left and Kammara Sabhavam. These films are known for being trailblazers in their respective genres. He also scripted the blockbuster and Prithviraj Sukmaran directed Lucifer, which starred Mohanlal in the leading role. His work behind the camera and onscreen has earned him numerous awards, including Filmfare Awards South as well as South Indian International Movie Awards.

Murali Gopy was a screenwriter, actor, and singer who made his debut in the Lal Jose movie Rasikan (2004). Murali wrote the 2012 film Ee Adutha Kaalathu. Murali is the son of renowned actor Bharath Gopi and Jayalakshmy. He was married to Anjana Pillai,Asst. Manager SBI and has two children, Gowri and Gowrav. Anjana died at the age of 38, on 26 April 2015 after suffering a heart attack.

Murali’s acting skills and attention to detail have been highly praised. Murali’s portrayals onscreen have earned him numerous accolades, including the 61st Filmfare Awards South award for Best Actor in Supporting Role.
