Morgan Johansson (full title: Tomas Morgan Johansson; born 14 May 1970), is a Swedish politician affiliated with the Social Democrats. Since 2017, he has been Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Justice. From 2014 to 2017, he was Minister for Migration Policy and Asylum Policy.
Johansson was assaulted at Broby hospital asylum centre in Broby Ostra Goinge Municipality Skane on 23 March 2015. Johansson was attacked by a 25-year old man who sprayed him with an extinguisher. Johansson was not hurt in the premeditated attack. The attacker was quickly arrested.
Christer Isaksson, a 2010 author, described Johansson to be a member the left- leaning Social Democratic Party faction. He is also a member the Swedish Humanist Association, and has served as a board member in the past.
