Monty Halls is one of the most popular and richest Explorer who was born on November 5, 1966 in England, United Kingdom. Monty Halls was born 5 November 1976. He is a British television broadcaster and marine biologist. He is best known for his BBC Great Escape series Monty Halls’ Great Escape, Monty Halls’ Great Hebridean Escape, and Monty Halls’ Great Irish Escape. During this time, he lived in remote areas of the UK and Ireland. Halls also has TV programs on the Discovery Channel, including WWII’s Great Escapes, Great Barrier Reef, and Lost Worlds with Leo Houlding.

He presented a nine-part television series entitled Great Ocean Adventures in 2005 (co-produced with RDF Television and Channel Five). In 2007, a second series was broadcast. Halls’ diving with a large group of Giant Humboldt Squid is one of the most memorable moments. He hosted a National Geographic series called Perfect Weapon in 2008, which explored aspects of medieval weaponry. Halls moved from Bristol to Applecross, west Scotland, in 2008 for the first of three BBC Great Escape series. Monty Halls’ Great Escape was the first. Here he attempted to recreate six months of life for crofters. Halls moved to the Outer Hebrides in 2009 to work as a North Uist nature warden for six months. Monty lived in Connemara for six months, working with the Irish Whale & Dolphin Conservation Group. Reuben, his dog, was featured in all of these series.

In 2016 Halls formed Seadog TV and Film Productions and in 2017 produced and presented WWII’s Great Escapes: The Freedom Trails, a four-part series in which Halls re-traced the journeys made by escaped prisoners of war out of Nazi occupied Europe. The series first broadcast on Channel 4 in September 2017.

In February 2018 Channel 4 announced a second series from Halls and Seadog TV and Film Productions, My Family and the Galapagos.

Halls, a Royal Marine veteran, was deeply affected by the death of his best friend, Major Jason Ward, RM in a helicopter accident on the 21st March 2003. This was the second day (Operation Telic) of the Iraq War. Halls supports military charities and is a patron for Help for Heroes, which is dedicated to improving the conditions for wounded service personnel. He is a marine biologist and supports marine conservation charities. He is also patron of Shark Trust. After serving many years as an Ambassador, Halls was elected president of Galapagos Conservation Trust in 2015.
