Mohan Bhagwat is one of the most popular and richest Politician who was born on September 11, 1950 in Chandrapur, Maharashtra, India. Mohan Madhukar Bhagwat, who was born 11 September 1950, is the Sarsanghchalak of the Hindu nationalist organisation Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. (RSS), is based in India. In March 2009, he was selected to succeed K. S. Sudarshan.

When Rajendra Singh and H. V. Sheshadri, respectively, decided to retire as RSS Chiefs and General Secretaries due to their declining health, K. S. Sudarshan became the new chief, and Bhagwat became Sarkaryavah’ (General Secretary).

In June 2015, due to a high threat perception from various Islamic terrorist organisations, the government of India ordered the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) to provide Bhagwat with round-the-clock protection. In November 2016, while addressing a ‘Prerna Shibir’ on the 80th anniversary of Rashtra Sevika Samiti, the women’s wing of the RSS, Mohan Bhagwat said that Homo sapiens ate into the space of other species of genus Homo, like Homo floresiensis and Neanderthals, in the past, but even Homo sapiens could go extinct in the next thousand years.

He was promoted to ‘Akhil Bharatiya Sharmairik Pramukh’ (in charge of physical training for India) in 1991. He was promoted to ‘Akhil Bharatiya Sharirik Pramukh’ (in charge of RSS volunteers who work full-time in India).

Bhagwat finished his schooling at ‘Lokmanya Tilak Vidyalaya’, and then he started his BSc at the Janata College Chandrapur. He received his veterinary sciences and animal husbandry degrees from Nagpur’s Government Veterinary College. He quit his postgraduate program in Veterinary Sciences to become a pracharak (full time promoter/worker of RSS) towards the end 1975.

Bhagwat, who had been working underground during the Emergency in 1977, was made the ‘Pracharak’ of Akola in Maharashtra and rose to the top within the organization responsible for Nagpur & Vidarbha.

Bhagwat was chosen as the Sarsanghchalak (Chief Executive) of the RSS on 21 March 2009. He is one of the youngest leaders to head the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh after K. B. Hedgewar and M. S. Golwalkar.
