Mohamed Habash was born in Damascus on October 1, 1962. He was born in Damascus at the Sheikh Ahmed Kuftaro Islamic Sciences School in Damascus. He learned the Qur’an from Sheikh Muhammad Sukkar. He then studied Islamic science at The Islamic Institute for Dawah and obtained a degree of recitation from the University of Damascus. He then went on to obtain three BAs in Islamic and Arab sciences from the universities of Tripoli, Beirut, and Damascus. He also received a master’s and doctorate from the University of the Noble Qur’an, Khartoum, under the supervision of Dr. Wahba Al–Zuhaili, and Dr. Muhammad Ali Al–Imam). In 2010, University of Craiova, one of the oldest Romanian universities, announced that Dr. Muhammad Habash has been awarded the PhD of honor every two years. This was in recognition of his research and participation in the dialogue of Religions. The university translated the unique degree into Romanian.

He moved to Abu Dhabi in 2012, and has been an associate professor at University of Abu Dhabi’s College of Arts and Sciences and then at College of Law. There he teaches Islamic classes at the university.

In 2006, he was elected Vice President of International Islamic Forum for Moderation. He is also a member of Board of Trustees of Islamic University in Islamabad (IIMU) and University of Al-Jazira. He is also a member of Arab Writers Union as well as a variety of local and international Islamic organizations. He was also a university teacher in the College of Sharia and Faculty of Fundamentals Religion, and in the College of Islamic Call and Academy the Supreme Military Forces of Syria. He also supervised many PhDs and promotions at both the University of Jordan and College of Islamic Call.
