Feirberg, the first female mayor elected in Netanya, is one of only a few women to have been mayors of Israeli cities.
Feirberg was arrested by the Israel police along with several of her relatives and colleagues on September 7, 2016, on suspicion of fraud, bribery and abuse of power in connection to a 2016 Netanya scandal.
Feirberg married Eli Feirberg in 2004 and they had a son, Tzafrir and a girl, Tal. She married Roni Ikar in 2004. Two years prior, she had been appointed the CEO of Netanya. Ikar quit his job and is now the CEO of Ahuzot Hahof. Ahuzot Hahof manages the parking lots in Tel Aviv.

Feirberg served as the culture superior for the city from 1993 to 1998. Feirberg was elected mayor of Netanya 1998. She was again elected in 2003 and again in 2013.
