She represented her country in the 800 metres at the 1986 and the 1988 World Junior Championships in Athletics and at the 1987 World Championships in Athletics. She competed in the 1500 metres at the 1986 World Junior Championships as well. Sankaatsing also competed in the 400 metres at the 1993 Summer Universiade, finishing sixth in the final with a time of 54.87 seconds.
