In July 2018, Clapot introduced a bill (which has now passed into law) against street racing and other dangerous uses of motorized vehicles for recreational purposes. The bill created a special status for this type of violation, allowing law enforcement to seize the vehicle and enabling the immediate appearance in court of the perpetrators.

Clapot spent 25 years working in different industrial companies in the Rhone- Alpes area. She started her career as a Marketing Department employee at Bonnet Cuisines, Villefranche sur Saone. Later, she moved to BSN Emballage (now Owens-Illinois), Villeurbanne and Pavailler, Portes-les-Valence. Later, she joined Thales Avionics’ Purchasing Department and later at the SNCF of Lyon. She was appointed Purchasing Manager at Valence in 2007 after she left her post as Human Resources and Operations Director at Decalog, Guilherand Granges. She began her career at the Ecole Centrale de Lyon in 2013 as Director of Development and Company Relations.
