Michael Anthony Figga, born July 31, 1970, is a retired Major League Baseball catcher who played for both the Baltimore Orioles and the New York Yankees. Figga was a three-year veteran who hit.213 and had one home run.

Between 2000 and 2004, Figga was a player in both the minor leagues as well as for the Nashua Pride of the independent Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. After suffering from bad knees, Figga retired from baseball. Today, Figga works for Republic National Distribution Company. He lives in Tampa Bay and has just finished coaching a little-league football team called Westchase Colts as well as a travel baseball team called Tampa Bay Bulls.

1999 saw Figga start the season as one the three Yankees’ catchers. However, his mere presence caused controversy within the Yankee brass. Owner George Steinbrenner gave Don Zimmer the task of acting manager to promote Figga, despite the fact that he had limited opportunities to play. He was only active in a doubleheader on May 22, where he served as a late-inning defensive replacement. He did not play in any Yankees games. Manager Joe Torre, who missed the first two months due to prostate cancer, was able convince Steinbrenner to let him return. Figga was then waived by the Baltimore Orioles in June 1999, and he played 41 games with the Orioles.
