He is best known for his time in the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s Bantamweight division. He was a professional competitor since 2003 and was the UFC’s reigning Ultimate Warrior Challenge Bantamweight Champion.

He defended the title against Josh Ferguson in April 2009 at UWC 6 Capital Punishment. Easton won the fight via submission by a guillotine choke.

Easton, then 20, made his professional debut at Reality Fighting in 2003. Anibal Torres was his first professional fight. He won unanimously. Nearly a year later, Easton defeated Jason Taylor again via unanimous decision.

2007 was the year Easton received his black belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu from Lloyd Irvin. Easton lost the finals that year. Easton was wrongly judging a kick that he took the full force of when he was fighting Reynaldo duarte. In an interview with The Washington Post, he recalled the injury. “My arm just flopped backwards, I’m having an intense conversation with my coach while this man’s trying to punch in my face. My arm isn’t working, I think. What is wrong with my arm? I don’t fear him ….This guy is just hitting me in my face I don’t fear no man.” Easton was rushed to the hospital immediately after his injury was severe. Easton was awarded a record of 5-1 and signed with the Virginia- based Ultimate Warrior Challenge. Easton fought two times for the promotion, before he was awarded a title shot against Justin Robbins. Easton defeated Robbins in round three of their five-round fight and won him the bantamweight title.

After nearly a two-year hiatus from competing, Easton signed with the UFC on July 26, 2011. His promotional debut was expected to take place against Jeff Hougland on October 1, 2011 at UFC on Versus 6. However, Hougland was forced out of the bout with an injury and replaced by fellow UFC newcomer Byron Bloodworth. Bloodworth failed to make the 135 pound weight limit, thus the match was changed to a 138-pound catchweight bout, with Bloodworth being fined for the infraction. Easton won by TKO in the second round.
