After graduating from college, DiNunno made his first professional contact with Beroe in Bulgaria in November 2013. He scored 41 points in the season’s final against Levski Sofia. He played in 5 of the 6 games Beroe had with them, scoring 23.7 points, 3 rebound, 2.2 assists, and 1.5 steals per match. This was in just 32.3 minutes. He left Beroe in January and joined Nord Barese, Italy. In January 2014, he scored 16 points in just 21 minutes. He scored 20 points against Ferrara, a record for the season. In October 2014, DiNunno signed for British Basketball League team Cheshire Phoenix. He dished out a season- high 10 assists to help his team get past the Glasgow Rocks. He was waived by the club in April due to a back injury that kept him out for almost a month. His team, that started the season 1–4, went 17–3 when DiNunno played. He played in 21 games in the BBL, averaging 15.9 points, 2.1 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.9 steals per game. In August 2015 DiNunno signed an annual contract with Greek A2 team Iraklis Thessaloniki. He scored a game-high 26 points in his debut for Iraklis, helping his team get a narrow 82–81 away win against Ethnikos Piraeus for the first round of the Greek Cup. He scored a season-high 31 points against Psychiko, shooting 6-of-10 three-pointers. On 30 January 2016 his contract with the team was terminated by mutual consent. Totally he appeared in 11 league games for Iraklis averaging 16.2 points, 1.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.9 steals per game.
DiNunno started the 2017-2018 season with BC Beroe, helping them win the Bulgarian Supercup on 17 September 2017. In 9 games in the Bulgarian National Basketball League, he averaged 11.2 points and 5.4 assists.
DiNunno originally planned to transfer to Quincy, a NCAA Division II college. Luke Strege, an assistant coach and coordinator for Eastern Kentucky, left Quincy. DiNunno decided to transfer to Eastern Kentucky in order to play Division I basketball. In May 2010, DiNunno was officially transferred to Eastern Kentucky. However, due to NCAA transfer rules, DiNunno had to miss the 2010-11 season. His 33 point performance against Tennessee State was a record for him. The team lost in double overtime 91-85. He was honored for his performance in his first season as an Eastern Kentucky player by being named to the OVC All-Newcomer Team. This honor is given to freshmen, first-year players, and transfers. DiNunno’s senior season saw him make a layup with just 2.3 seconds remaining in the game against Western Carolina, helping his team win and achieve a record of 7-0. This record was extended to 9-1, which is the school’s best start since 66 years. He played in all 34 games and scored 24 points in each of the four games. Three of those were against Belmont, Jacksonville State, and Tennessee State. The fourth was against Tennessee State in March. DiNunno was the first Eastern Kentucky player to be named all- OVC. He led the team in scoring, assists, and steals as well as guiding them to a school record number of victories.

Michele Christopher Di Nunno, born January 29, 1990, is an American-Italian professional basketball athlete for KR of Urvalsdeild Karla. He plays the position of point guard. He was born in Maywood, Illinois. He played high school basketball at Von Steuben and Lake Park. He initially committed to Northern Illinois to play college hockey, and was awarded MAC All-Freshman honors. He transferred to Eastern Kentucky after two seasons. DiNunno was a member of the OVC All Newcomer team in his junior year and made it to the first all-OVC team in his senior season at Eastern Kentucky. After graduating, he played in professional leagues throughout Europe. He was a KR member and won the Icelandic championship in 2019.
Rob Judson initially offered DiNunno a scholarship to Northern Illinois, but he decided to stay in the school after Ricardo Patton confirmed the offer. After three games of his freshman season, DiNunno set a Northern Illinois record for scoring with 27 points. This helped the Huskies defeat Indiana State 86 to 79. He had a career-high 6 stoles against Southeast Missouri State, along with 16 points and 5 assists. He was the MAC’s top freshman in scoring, assists and free throw percentage. He also led in minutes played, three-pointers made, three-pointers made, and free throw percentage. Three of DiNunnos grandparents died in the first month of DiNuno’s sophomore season. Later, he acknowledged that it was difficult to keep up with his 19-year-old performance. DiNunno, who was playing for Western Michigan, recorded his first ever career double-double, scoring a record-high 21 points, and setting a new career high with 10 assists. This helped his team win their fourth consecutive game. DiNunno declared that he will not be returning to Northern Illinois after his sophomore season.
DiNunno started his high school career at Lake Park. In his sophomore season, he posted 17 points per game. He then went on to transfer to Von Steuben to play under coach Vince Carter. In his debut in the CPL he posted 19 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists to help his team win Morgan Park. In his junior season, Dinunno averaged 18 points, five assists and four rebounds per game. He improved his numbers in his senior season averaging 22 points, 4.3 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game, to lead his school to a 24–6 record. Von Steuben won sectional titles in his junior and senior season and DiNunno received all- state honorable mentions in both seasons. DiNunno was a two-star recruit according to Rivals.com and a three star recruit according to 247Sports.com, ranked 83rd in the point guard position.
