Bielecki was a 1995 pitcher for the California Angels. He had a 5.97 ERA in 22 games with the team.
Bielecki, an Indian, was invited to join Tim Crews, Steve Olin and Bob Ojeda in spring training 1993 on a fishing vessel. But he declined. Crews and Olin were both killed in the subsequent boat crash, as was Ojeda. Bielecki did not stay in Cleveland for long, and he was soon back pitching for Baltimore Orioles AAA farm team.

Bielecki graduated from Dundalk High school and attended Loyola College, Maryland, for the 1977-78 academic season. Due to the end of the university’s intercollegiate baseball program, he pitched for the Greyhounds only for one season. Bielecki was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates with the eighth pick in the 1979 amateur draft (secondary Phase). September 14th 1984 was his debut. Bielecki played the next four seasons for the Pirates. He only played full-time in 1986. He finished that season with a record of 6-11 and a 4.66 ERA.
Bielecki was ninth in the Cy Young Award voting and won 18 Cubs games, a record high for him. Steve Stone gave him the nickname “BOOM BOOM BOOM” Bielecki for the two-run home run he scored against the Pittsburgh Pirates on April 13, 1991. Bielecki pitched at Wrigley Field’s first ever night game on August 9, 1988.
In 1991 Bielecki was acquired by the Braves along with Damon Berryhill. With only two days left in the season, in 1992 he was named the fifth starter for the Braves but his season ended in August due to an elbow injury. In 1994 he returned to the Braves. Appeared in the 1996 World Series as a member of the Braves. His final game was on August 16, 1997.
