He also participated in the 2000 Summer Olympics in men’s individual archery. He finished in 10th and won the silver medal in team event. He won the World Target Archery Championships Recurve (Olympics) Division in New York in 2003.
Frangilli participated in the 2004 Summer Olympics’ men’s single archery. He won his first match and advanced to the round 32. He was defeated by Hiroshi Yamamoto from Japan in the second round. This would have been his final match. He finished 31st overall. Frangilli was also part of the 7th-place Italian men’s archery team at 2004 Summer Olympics.
In 2014, using his nick name “GILLO”, he has registered a new brand for archery products named “GILLO Gold Medal”
