Two of her most memorable songs were “No More Lies”, a Billboard R&B top 10 hit on Hot 100, and “Something in My Heart”, which was a Billboard R&B top 10. Michel’le was among six contestants on the TV One reality series R&B Divas Los Angeles between 2013 and 2015. She was featured in the 2016 biopic Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Michel’le.
Suge Knight, CEO and co-founder of Death Row Records, intervened to get Michel’le out of Dre’s clutches by sending her to rehab. Michel’le wed Suge in 1999 while he was still in prison. Michel’le is a South Central Los Angeles native who was previously a featured vocalist of Louisiana Creole descent singing “Turn Off the Lights” on World Class Wreckin’ cru’s 1987 single.
