Michael H. Weber is one of the most popular and richest Screenwriter who was born on January 13, 1978 in New York, United States. Michael H. Weber, born January 13, 1978, is an American producer and screenwriter from Great Neck. Scott Neustadter, his writing partner, wrote the screenplays for The Pink Panther 2 (2008) and 500 Days of Summer 2009. They also wrote screenplays for The Spectacular Now (2013) based upon the novel by Tim Tharp. This film was based in part on The Fault in Our Stars (2014) by Scott Neustadter. Paper Towns (2015) is based in another Green novel.

Weber and Neustadter learned that 20th Century Fox had bought the rights to adapt The Fault in Our Stars, a young adult novel by John Green about the romance between two teens with cancer, into a movie. They campaigned for the president of the company to hire them to write it. Weber claimed that they were awarded the job after promising to not alter the book. Hire us! We will bring nothing to the table! The film was released in 2014. It received positive reviews and did well at the box-office. They also made a movie of Paper Towns from another Green book.

Weber and Neustadter wrote the script for The Disaster Artist (2017), the adaptation of the book of the same name. They also wrote Our Souls at Night, an adaptation of Kent Haruf’s final novel of the same name, for Netflix, with Robert Redford and Jane Fonda playing the lead roles, the first movie they have made together since 1979’s The Electric Horseman.

For writing The Disaster Artist (2017), the pair was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay. They also created the sitcom Friends with Benefits, which lasted one season.

Weber and Neustadter developed a sitcom called Friends with Benefits for ABC in 2009. Later, the project was moved to NBC. It premiered on August 2011. It was not the most popular of NBC’s new comedy shows for the 2010-11 season. However, it was cancelled after just one season. Later, they adapted Tim Tharp’s novel The Spectacular now into a film with the same name. It is a romantic drama about high-school students and alcoholism. Fox Searchlight in 2009 commissioned them to write the screenplay. They had already produced 500 Days of Summer in their first script. The film remained in pre-production for many years before being picked up by James Ponsoldt. The film was released to nearly universally positive reviews in August 2013. Weber and Neustadter were nominated for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Screenplay. The film also won a National Board of Review award as Best Independent Film.
