In June 1997, just a few months after she graduated, Clark Pullen was cast as Mary Flaherty on the BBC’s soap opera EastEnders. Clark Pullen played the role of Pauline Fowler’s long-lost relative (Wendy Richard), and remained there for 18 months before her departure in 1999.
Clark Pullen, who was a part of Albert Square’s original cast, has been a star in Lady Audley’s Secret on ITV, and starred alongside Jenny Agutter and Richard Attenborough in A Dinner of Herbs, ITV’s remake of The Railway Children. All of this happened in 2000. Other credits include Doctors ((2000), The League of Gentlemen’s Apocalypse (2006) and The Clinic (2006).
In 2006 Clark Pullen wrote, directed and produced the short film Marion agus an Banphrionsa (Marion and the Princess), for which she won the Gradam Gael Linn award for the Best Short in the Irish Language at the 51st Cork Film Festival. She also produced another short, Sounds Good (2004), which was written by her partner Simon Maxwell.
