Fundales was a student at Mariano Ponce High School, Bulacan in the 1990s. There he met Clem Cruz. They formed Orange and Lemons together in the late ’90s. He is an Eagle Scout of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines as well as a Ten Outstanding Boy Scouts of the Philippines Awardee.
Orange & Lemons signed a Universal Records contract in October 2004. The band recorded a new album, their second and first for a major label. Strike Whilst the Iron Is Hot was released in June 2005. Singles included “Hanggang Kailan(Umuwi Ka Na Baby),” “Heaven Knows [This Angel Has Flown]”) and “Lihim”. The band received an offer from ABS-CBN to Orange and Lemons to perform the soundtrack/jingle for Pinoy Big Brother. This is the Philippine version of reality TV show Big Brother. Orange and Lemons created a song called “Pinoy Ako”.
On May 24, 2014, it was announced that Fundales would be taking part in the third Philippine Popular Music Festival interpreting the song “Kung Aking Ang Langit” alongside singer Clara Benin, daughter of former Side A bassist Joey Benin. On July 26, the entry won the Spinnr People’s Choice award.
Clem Castro and Mcoy Fundales met in Bulacan in the early 2000s. They replaced Law Santiago and Michael Salvador, who had left the group. The full-time duties of bass and drums were taken over by Ace and JM del Mundo. Later, the band recorded new songs and released their debut album Love in the Land of Rubber Shoes & Dirty Ice Cream in 2003 on Terno Recordings.

Mcoy Fundales, a Filipino actor, writer, and musician was born on 3 November 1977. He was the rhythm guitarist and former lead singer of the Pinoy rock band Orange and Lemons. He is currently the lead singer of Kenyo, and a writer for the GMA-7 sitcom Pepito Manaloto.
In 1999, Orange & Lemons was officially founded. Mcoy Fundales sang, Clem Castro played guitars, Law Santiago played bass, and Michael Salvador was on drums. The band began covering songs by their influences, The Beatles and The Smiths. Bong Baluyot managed the band.
After weeks of speculation, it was reported on October 10, 2007 by Inquirer News that Orange and Lemons had disbanded. The reason stated was primarily due to differences between band members and their managers. The three remaining members later formed a new band called Kenyo. The band released their debut album, Radiosurfing, in 2008.
