Maurizio Guarini is one of the most popular and richest Keyboardist who was born on January 25, 1955 in Rome, Lazio, Italy. Guarini was born in Rome, Italy, in 1955. He began playing guitar and organ at the age 10. Guarini began playing live in high school concerts, along with some rock bands. His music exploration shifted to progressive/jazz-rock later. He graduated from high school in 1973 and attended the University La Sapienza, Rome’s Math faculty.
Collaborations with Italian artists in studio production, live concerts and other activities are some of the other non-movie-related activities that were possible up until 1990.
In November 1998 Guarini and his wife moved to Toronto, Canada, and for a few years worked mainly in software development.
In 2003 former Goblin bandmates Massimo Morante and Fabio Pignatelli contacted Guarini with the idea to restart the dormant Goblin. The new band, under the name BackToTheGoblin, worked 2 years to realize the new album BackToTheGoblin 2005, released at the beginning of 2006, with the Canadian independent label BackToTheFudda.
Guarini also collaborated with musicians during these years, primarily with Fabio Frizzi, an Italian composer. He performed as a session musician in many scores for films directed by Lucio Fulci, including Zombi 2, City of Living Dead and Beyond. Maurizio also started a collaboration with Pino Donaggio in 1984, which resulted in 25 soundtracks.

After the release of Deep Red, Massimo Morante (from Goblin) invited Guarini into his band in spring 1975. Goblin’s first concert was in September 1975. The band continued touring Italy until 1976. In March 1976, Goblin released the album Roller.
Guarini was forced to leave the band after just three days of recording the score for Suspiria. Guarini re-joined Goblin in 1978 after two years of studio work mainly at RCA Records, Rome. The following years saw the production of scores for the films Patrick (1978), Buio Alpha (1979), Contamination(80), St.Helene’s (81), Notturno (1983), and the album Volo]’ (1982).
In 1993 Guarini earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
