Lundy has criticised Governor Kasich’s evasion of disclosure of public records in relation to Lundy and other requests. Kasich supported this position with the ruling in Glasgow v. Jones, an Ohio Supreme Court case. Kasich claims that the scale of the request for documentation demonstrated undue cause and a lack of a clear goal. Lundy feels that the case is irrelevant due to the particularity of the request. She has asked for the opinion of Mike DeWine, State Attorney General. Lundy stated that the administration was secretive since the beginning. However, the public demands transparency.

Lundy won a final term in 2012 with 62.68% of the vote over Republican Rae Brady. Lundy was term-limited in 2014.

Democrats saw incumbent Earl Martin as vulnerable in 2006. Lundy won 68.82% in a primary fight with Alan Caruso to face the incumbent in the general elections. After Martin was involved in a property dispute, the race became contentious. Martin was defeated by Lundy, who received 56.23%.

Lundy has an associate degree from Lorain County Community College as well as a bachelor’s in human resource management at Friends University in Wichita. For his first reelection bid in 2008, Lundy was targeted hard by the Republican Party who sought to take the district back, and Avon City Councilman Daniel Urban was nominated to run against Lundy. Lundy won reelection with 57.61% of the vote. For the 128th General Assembly, Speaker of the House Armond Budish named Lundy Chairman of the Consumer Affairs & Economic Protection Committee.
