His debut came a month after his 17th birthday, as a substitute in a home defeat to Doncaster Rovers. He made his full debut on the last day of the season against Darlington. At the end of the 2005–06 season, in which saw him make six appearances, mostly a handful of substitute appearances, Done was offered a professional contract by the club, in which he signed it.
Then, Done broke into the first team squad at the start of the 2006–07 season and his first goal for Wrexham came against Grimsby Town, and he went on to score against Sheffield Wednesday during a 4–1 win in the League Cup. Although he appeared as unused substitute bench on seven occasions, but suffered an ankle injury, Done finished the 2006–07 season, making thirty–eight appearances and scoring two times in all competitions.

Done made his Rochdale debut on 10 August 2010 in the first round of League Cup, in a 1–0 loss against Barnsley. He scored his first goal for the club in the Football League Trophy against Port Vale on 31 August 2010. It wasn’t until on 27 November 2010 when he scored again, in a 1–1 draw against Oldham Athletic. His performance resulted Done signing a contract until the end of the 2010–11 season. Done then scored two goals in two matches between 8 February 2011 and 12 February 2011 against Bristol Rovers and Sheffield Wednesday, which both of these games were a win. He later scored two more goals later in the 2010–11 season against Carlisle United and Bournemouth. At the end of the 2010–11 season, Done went on to make thirty–five appearances and scoring five times in all competitions.
