in 2012 Salvatore Ferragamo was involved in a project that merged art and historical research. The company supported the Saint Anne – Leonardo Da Vinci’s Ultimate Masterpiece exhibition at the Louvre museum in Paris between the 29th of March to June 25, 2012. In celebration of the event Giornetti unveiled the Salvatore ferragamo women’s resort 2013 collection in Lourve’s Denon Wing, marking the first time the museum was able to open its interior spaces to host an event of fashion. Supermodels, such as Bianca Balti, Isabeli Fontana, Karolina Kurkova, and Karmen Pedaru, walked down 140 meters (460-foot) catwalk before more than 500 guests.
It was in 2011, that Giornetti unveiled his first women’s Salvatore ferragamo collection in an intimate exhibition held at the former home of the artist, philanthropist and heiress collection Doris Duke (one of the remaining mansions situated on the Millionaire’s Row of New York City’s Fifth Avenue).
