He joined the jazz instrumental group Pe’z in 1999. He was a part of Ringo Sheena’s group Tokyo Jihen between 2004 and 2005. In 2007 Hiizumi made his debut as a solo musician under the name H Zett M.
Hiizumi joined forces together with Pe’z group members Masahiro Nirehara, and Kou to form the jazz group H Zettrio in 2013, and released their Mitsuboshi album on December 4, 2013. Mitsuboshi the 4th of December 2013. H Zettrio further collaborated with jazz singer-songwriter Roco to form the unit Chazz. The group made the recording album Chazz: Smile Music Life which is a collection of tunes popular in children’s songs, with a jazz-inspired performance with brand new lyrics.
In 2007 Hiizumi made his debut as a solo artist by releasing the 5+2=11 album. Also, he was part of the musical collaboration of Pe’z, folk-singer Suzumoku Pe’zmoku. The group also performed the Bleach finale track “Gallop”.

The year 2001 was the time that Pe’z made their debut in the form of self- titled extended version of Pe’z and was which was followed with Hayato and Okokoroire in 2001. Their first major release in association in collaboration with Toshiba EMI, Akatsuki, was released in 2002.
in 2003 Hiizumi became a musician with Ringo Sheena to perform as a concert musician for her 10-date Sugoroku Tour. The tour group, Tokyo Jihen, debuted as a fully-fledged musical group in 2004 with the hit single “Gunjo Biyori”, which Hiizumi composed. Kyoiku, their debut album, came out in the month of November of 2004 with his tracks “Genjitsu ni Oite” and “Service”, followed by the Dynamite tour that began in early 2005. Hiizumi has decided to step down from the group following the tour in order to concentrate in his collaboration with Pe’z and made the announcement on July 1, 2005.
