Marwan El Shorbagy (born July 30th 1993 at Alexandria) is a professional squash player and is a representative of Egypt. He achieved a record-breaking world position at World No. 3 in May of 2018. He was the winner of his place in the World Juniors in 2011 & 2012, and became the third player in history to be the winner of three times the World Junior twice.

In November 2011, when the 17-year-old made his debut appearance at the World Open, after qualifying for the tournament. The 17-year-old defeated Pakistani Farhan Mehboob. He then beat the 11th seed , and ex- English world champion Daryl Selby 11-8 11-7 5-11 4-11 13-11 over 85 minutes, before finally getting stopped in the final 16th round by number three seed and the current World top seed James Willstrop.

Despite now combining his squash career with that of a student at University in the UK, 19-year-old El Shorbagy celebrated his world top thirty debut in July. In July 2012 he won his second successive World Junior Open title – to become only the third man in history to win the world junior title for a second time, also he is the first player in the history to win 2 individuals and 2 teams World titles.

After securing his second British Open Junior title, El Shorbagy began his 2012 campaign in a determined manner during January, in the USA following his qualification in his first appearance ever in the Tournament of Champions the 18-year-old defeated veteran Frenchman Thierry Lincou to become World Number 10 in just four games before beating the World Number 18 Tom Richards 9-11 11-5 6-11 11-6 in 85 minutes to make it to the quarter-finals of the Super Series tournament for the first time. He also became the first qualifier in the quarterfinals of the ToC in the last 10 years.
