Martin Heydon (born 9 August 1978) is an Irish Fine Gael politician who has been a Teachta Dala (TD) for the Kildare South constituency since 2011. He is the chairman of the Fine Gael Parliamentary Party since June 2016.
On June 8, the 8th of June, Heydon was elected as Chairman of the Fine Gael Parliamentary Party, succeeding the retired Limerick T.D. Dan Neville. Carlow Kilkenny T.D. Pat Deering was elected Vice Chair through the Parliamentary Party. His responsibilities as Vice Chair includes chairing the monthly gathering of Fine Gael TDs and Senators in Leinster House as well as representing the party in the European People’s Party (EPP) in the European Parliament.
He was the the Chairperson of Fine Gael’s Internal Committee on Agriculture and Rural Affairs between 2011 and 2016.

Heydon was the very first Fine Gael TD to be elected to Kildare South. Kildare South constituency, after Alan Dukes lost his seat in 2002. Heydon took on the challenge of his own in the 2011 election for the party and received more than 12,000 votes as an untested TD in the first round which was his first time in the general election. He exceeded 3000 votes over the required quota, and as a consequence Newbridge Fine Gael Councillor Fiona McLoughlin Healy was included on the 2016 ballot general election to be his partner.
Heydon was a member of Fine Gael in 2008. The Fine Gael leader was appointed for Kildare County Council at the local elections in 2009, which was the beginning of his campaign. He was removed from Kildare County Council following his Dail Eireann election in February 2011 through the Councillor Ivan Keatley.
Heydon won parliamentary re-election following the 2016 general election, topping the poll in Kildare South.
