“Hallelujah Love” was released in the year 2016. The album was produced by Jason Lehning and mastered by Bob Ludwig. Some of the contributors were pop singer David Mead, violinist Stuart Duncan as well as the drummer Steve Bowman. This album was recorded at various locations, like The “Neve Room” at Quad Studios Nashville and Melloan’s personal studio. After a decade-long hiatus from music due to the death of a friend who was a musician, Melloan acknowledged his wife and children for the optimistic sound that he portrayed in “Hallelujah Love.” The album’s first song, “Misfortune Far Behind,” expressed his determination to leave his past and produce positive music.
The year 2006 was the time that music magazine “Country Weekly” described Melloan’s songs, “Angel Choir” and “One Good Country Song,” respectively, as the top and worst songs from Stephen Cochran’s auto-titled debut album. Cochran was a former Marine and advocate for veterans ‘ issues, co-wrote “Alone on Christmas” and “Hope” with Melloan. “Hope” was adopted by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs as a theme tune to promote its program of research and development.

The year 2003 was the time that Western Kentucky University President Gary Ransdell encouraged Melloan to record “High on a Hilltop,” an anthem composed by Melloan to honor the legacy of legendary basketball coach Edgar Diddle.
