Mark Divo (born 1966) is a Luxembourgeois conceptual artist and curator who runs large-scale, interactive art projects that incorporate his work with a variety of famous underground artists. His art practice includes the performance of art, painting and photography, as well as installations, and sculptures that are inhabited.

Since 2002, with performers, artists along with photographers Divo created a series of conceptual images that satirise politics and mocks the history of art.

In March 2012, Divo was given his first solo show entitled “Sic Transit Gloria Mundi” at the Mondejar Gallery, Zurich. The show consisted of paintings, assemblages and sculptures.

Between 1988 until 1989 Divo was employed between 1988 and 1989 in West Berlin. Following the fall of the Berlin wall back in 1989,, he was transferred into East Berlin, where he held exhibitions at Kunst Haus Tacheles. Between 1990 and 1994, he curated exhibitions, performances and murals for the Duncker group and was given a prize by the Berlin Senate.

In 1994, he returned into Zurich where he painted numerous murals. He also arranged an ensemble of traveling muralists (including Gabriel Serra). In Zurich, he gained a reputation for organizing a variety of underground art projects that were funded through government officials from the Swiss government, such as the first events or exhibitions that took place in subways around Escherwyssplatz. He arranged the world’s largest underground festival and the festival received a lot of praise from critics. The art was given the title “post Industrial Baroque” by critics. Some of the artists who displayed included Swiss artist Ingo Giezendanner German artist Leumund Cult, and British artist Lennie Lee.

Beginning in 2003, Divo organised an annual international Dada festival. In 2004, Divo was awarded a prestigious one year art residency at the Swiss art Institute in West Broadway, New York where he invited international artists to exhibit alongside him. in the summer of 2008 he established the Divo Institute a new multi-disciplinary arts centre in the city of Kolín, near Prague. In August 2009 Divo was one of thirty artist-curators invited to present work by international artists from the Divo Institute at the influential Subvision Art Festival, Hamburg.
