Mark Andrew DiFelice (born August 23rd 1975) was an American former professional baseball player. He was a part of Major League Baseball (MLB) with the Milwaukee Brewers. He currently works as pitcher’s coach with the Clinton LumberKings.
After a successful 2009 season with Nashville with an 3-0 record and an 3.91 ERA, his contract was acquired from Milwaukee the 15th of May and he played his debut in the major leagues just three days later on the 18th of May. After playing in 10 games, the player was sent back to Nashville. He was called up on September 1st in 2008, and scored his very first major league victory in September of the previous month.
He spent the whole next season in 2009 in the big leagues. He finished with a 4-1 record with 51.2 innings pitched and a 3.66 ERA. Following the 2009 season, DiFelice underwent shoulder surgery which sidelined him for the entire 2010 season. He signed a minor league contract with an invitation to 2011 spring training while pitching in the fall instructional league.
He is married to Lauren A. DiFelice. The two celebrated their marriage on December 31, 2011 in Philadelphia.
DiFelice was back in affiliate baseball after 2007 as a player with his team the Milwaukee Brewers’ Double-A Huntsville Stars as well as they added their Triple-A Nashville Sounds. In his initial ten professional seasons DiFelice had an overall record of 77-57 and an ERA of 3.53 and had scored 951 strikeouts.

DiFelice began his professional career as a member of the Colorado Rockies organization in 1998. He played in his first season in their Class A (Short Season) affiliate The Portland Rockies. He was a member of the Portland Rockies in 1999. was promoted into the class A-Advanced Salem Avalanche. As of 2000, the pitcher pitched with the Double-A Carolina Mudcats. He also played a portion of his 2001 campaign for Carolina and was a pitcher for the Triple-A Colorado Springs Sky Sox. He was a part of the 2002 season, but got back to Class A (Short Season) Tri-City Dust Devils and Salem. He was in 2003 when he appeared for the Rockies their new Double-A affiliate known as the Tulsa Drillers.
The year 2004 was the time he moved into The Baltimore Orioles organization, playing for their Triple-A Ottawa Lynx. in 2005 DiFelice played for the Washington Nationals with their Triple-A New Orleans Zephyrs and the independent Atlantic League’s Somerset Patriots. DiFelice remained with the Atlantic League for 2006, playing for the Camden Riversharks.
DiFelice was selected as a pitcher for the Italian national team in the 2009 World Baseball Classic. He started in the team’s opening game against Venezuela, pitching 4 shutout innings while allowing just 3 hits and striking out 1 batter, finishing the game with a no decision after leaving the game scoreless.
