Mark Anthony Breland (born May 11 in 1963) is an American retired world champion boxer who earned five New York Golden Gloves titles and an Olympic gold medal in the 1984 Olympics and was named the title of 1982 Boxer of the Year by USAABF and was rated the top amateur welterweight world-wide in the world by AIBA at the time of 1984. Later, he was an actor and has numerous film and television credits. He made his acting debut as a character in The Lords of Discipline, and was also in the official music video of The Pointer Sisters’ 1985 popular song, “Dare Me.” At 6’2 and two and a half inches high, Breland is one of the highest World Welterweight champions of all time.

Breland Born in Brooklyn, New York, started fighting at nine years old.
