Mari Hanafusa is one of the most popular and richest Actor who was born on February 28, 1973 in Tokyo, Japan. Mari Hanafusa (Hua Zong mari, Hanafusa Mari), was born February 28, 1973. She is an ex-member of Takarazuka Revue where she was specialized in female roles (Musumeyaku). She hails from Tokyo. She joined the revue in 1991, and she retired in 2006. She is the first and only musumeyaku in her class to be awarded top billing.

She founded Cosmos Troupe in 1998 with Asato Shizuki (Yoka Wao), Wataru Kozuki (Wataru Kozuki) and Hikaru Asami. They also performed overseas in Hong Kong. In 2006, she retired.

Hanafusa was the original star to play Elisabeth in the musical Elisabeth. She was also the only one to do it twice, first in a 1996 Snow production, and then again in a 1998 Cosmos production. She was an Elisabeth who had been haunted by two deaths (MakiIchiro and Asato Schizuki), was married to two Franz Josephs, Fubuki Takane (and Yoka Wao), and was assassinated in the hands of two Luigi Luchenis (Yu Todoroki (and Wataru Kozuki). Because Koju and Asami had changed troupes prior to the Tokyo performance, she crowned four Prince Rudolfs (Tatsuki Koju. Yoka Wao. Hikaru Asami. Sakiho Juri.

Hanafusa also became the first musumeyaku to be given her own billing after her 1994 performance as Scarlett O’Hara in Gone with the Wind. Otokoyaku usually get the top billing, so this was a rare case.

In January 2007, she came out of retirement and performed on stage along with Yōka Wao in Wao’s concert. Up until 2011, Hanafusa worked as an official representative for Yōka Wao in Wao’s company, Wao Enterprise, which they founded together in February 2007. During this period, Hanafusa has regularly appeared in most of Wao’s concerts or as co-star in stage plays where Wao has starred. It is unusual for partnering stars who have left Takarazuka to continue to work together so closely. As of October 2011 however, Hanafusa has resigned from Wao Enterprise after participating in Dracula with Wao. Although she had participated as a guest star in a couple of performances with other Japanese artists, there was no official announcements as to what Hanafusa’s future career direction will be until June 2012.
