Marcos Madrigal is one of the most popular and richest Pianist who was born on January 2, 1984 in Havana, Cuba. Marcos Madrigal was just three years old when his first piano lesson began. He graduated in 2007 with honors from University of Arts of Cuba (ISA), Havana under the tutelage of Teresita Junco, a renowned pianist and professor. He took Master Classes at the Conservatory of Southern Switzerland, Lugano, and the International Piano Academy Lake Como. There he was able to study with Dimitri Bashkirov and Fou Ts’ong, John Perry and Malcolm Bilson, as well as his mentor William Grant Nabore.
His most recent recordings include Homo Ludens with Mdeg Leo Brouwer, Concert for Four Hands with Cuban pianist Teresita Junico, and Opera Omnia for piano and orchestra of Jose Maria Vitier. A monograph dedicated to Ernesto Lecuona was critically acclaimed.
He made his famous debut in America in 2015 at Finney Hall in Oberlin Ohio.
