He joined Novara in 2009-10 Lega Pro Prima Divisione. In summer 2009, Attilio Tesser, his coach at Triestina, was also there. He was a teammate through two consecutive promotions, first to Serie B 2010 and then to Serie A 2011. Rigoni’s 2011-12 Serie A season was his best, scoring a record 11 goals and assisting in 8 more. He scored a hat trick against A.C. Cesena during a 3-0 win at home in May 2012. Despite Rigoni’s efforts Novara was relegated to Serie B in that season.
He was a regular player at Triestina but he was sold to Ternana in January 2006. He joined Pescara in Serie B as a loanee after the team was relegated from 2006-07 Serie C1. In 2007-08, he returned to Terni but was unable to lead the club to the top.

Rigoni was born in Montegrotto Terme Province of Padua. He began his professional career with Padova. After a brief appearance in Serie A (17 January 1999), he joined Juventus as a forward. He was then loaned to Ravenna and Cittadella, both of Serie B. Before joining Triestina, he was a forward again. To join Triestina, he ended his Juve contract.
Rigoni was officially loaned to Chievo for the 2012–13 Serie A season, with Chievo having the option to purchase his rights in full at the conclusion of the season.
