Marco Follini is one of the most popular and richest Politician who was born on September 26, 1954 in Rome, Lazio, Italy. Marco Follini (realname Giuseppe Follini; born 26 September 1954), is an Italian journalist and politician.
He was elected as Senator in 2006 and continued to voice his disapproval of Berlusconi’s leadership at the House of Freedoms. Follini was also at odds with his party members on numerous occasions. He supported Giorgio Napolitano’s candidacy for the presidency, along with Bruno Tabacci, and campaigned against the 2005 constitutional reform that the House of Freedoms approved. This was then annulled by a referendum.
Follini announced that he had officially resigned from UDC on 18 October 2006. He also announced the formation of a new centrist movement called Middle Italy. Marco Follini declared that he would support the Senate’s confidence vote on the 24th of February 2007 after President Giorgio Napolitano had sent the Prodi cabinet resigned to him.

He was a former member of Christian Democracy, and then joined the Christian Democratic Centre, and later the UDC. He became the party’s national leader in 2002 after Pierferdinando Cassini was elected President of the Chamber of Deputies. After the House of Freedoms approved a new proportional electoral bill, he unexpectedly resigned as UDC leader. He stated that this wasn’t the electoral law he wanted.
Follini was born in Rome. Follini was the National Secretary of Union of Christian and Centre Democrats from 15 October 2005 to 15. He also served as Vice-Prime Minister in Berlusconi’s second government from April 2005 to April 2005.
On 22 May 2007 he was appointed a member of the organizing committee of the embryonic centre-left Democratic Party.
