LeCocq quit the Howard rink in 2005 and would play for a variety of teams including Kennedy again, Jim Sullivan, Andy McCann and as a skip for two seasons. In 2015, he returned to the Kennedy rink. The team won the 2016 New Brunswick championship and represented New Brunswick at Tim Hortons Brier 2016.
LeCocq was a Russ Howard rink member in 2001 and played second for the future Olympic skip champion. The team reached the 2002 Nokia Brier. Howard led the team to the semifinals. They lost to Ontario’s John Morris. The team would then play in the two following Briers. They finished 4th at 2003 Nokia Brier (LeCocq would win the Ford Hot Shots that same year) and 5th at 2004 Nokia Brier. LeCocq, who was the team’s leader, would continue to play in the Howard rink for one more season. He played in two Grand Slam events during the 2004-05 season before he left the team.
