Belletti started 2011 very well. He won his first win of the season in January when he won stage three of the Giro della Provincia di Reggio Calabria. He finished second to Peter Sagan in fourth stage of Giro di Sardegna a month later, but he won his second win of the season in March at the Settimana Internazionale di Coppi e Bartali. After claiming second place in the Vuelta a Castilla y Leon, he won his third race of 2015 in Marmaris (Turkey) during the third stage of Tour of Turkey. He finished third in the second stage, just like last year’s race. This was his preparation for the Giro d’Italia. The race was just half-way through when he abandoned it. He won his fourth and final victory of 2011, when he won the third stage in the Brixia Tour. This was where he became the first of four Italians across the finish line at Prevalle. He ended the year in third place on the sixth stage Danmark Rundt, a 2nd place in Coppa Bernocchi and a 3rd place in Gran Premio Industria e Commercio Artigianato Carnaghese.
Belletti left the squad at the end of the 2013 season, and joined Androni Giocattoli–Venezuela for the 2014 season.
Belletti had shown his talent and his skills, resulting in interest from other teams. He then signed a new contract with Colnago–CSF Inox for the 2010 season. His first notable result for his new team was a second spot in the first part of the second stage in the Circuit de la Sarthe. In preparation of his first ever Grand tour, the 2010 Giro d’Italia he rode in the Tour of Turkey and claimed a third spot in the 6th stage, finishing in Finike. During the Giro d’Italia which started in Amsterdam, Netherlands Belletti claimed the fourth spot in the sixth stage finishing in Marina di Carrara. Thirteen turned out to be Belletti’s lucky number as he managed to join a breakaway group on the road to Cesenatico in the 13th stage of the race. The group kept an advantage on the peloton of more than seven minutes and Belletti turned out to be the fastest sprinter of the breakaway group, claiming his first victory in a grand tour and his first victory for his new team; Two days later he abandoned the race. A couple of months later he finished fourth and third in two stages of the Brixia Tour, fifth and third in two stages of the Danmark Rundt and a fourth position in the Dutch Veenendaal–Veenendaal Classic. In August he claimed his second and last victory of that season by beating Danilo Hondo and Mark Cavendish in the sprint of the Coppa Bernocchi. Later that season he finished second in the first stage of the Tour of Britain, second in the Memorial Viviana Manservisi and third in the Memorial Marco Pantani.
Belletti also rode in South America in 2009, including in Argentina, where he finished third in stage 3 and 6 of the Giro del Sol San Juan. He was third in the sprint of Stage 5 of the Giro di Sardegna, his first European professional success. This was behind Daniele Bennati and winner Alessandro Petacchi. He beat Petacchi in the Giro del Friuli, but still finished third. Grega Bole and Mirco Lorenzetto took the first two places. He finished second behind Petacchi in the Giro di Toscana later on. Belletti also finished in the top three with second place in the Tour of Austria’s 1st Stage behind Andre Greipel, Graeme Brown, and second in Grand Prix de Fourmies against Romain Feillu.

Belletti’s first public display of his cycling skills was at the 2004 Italian National Track Championships. He and his team mates Loris Gubbi, Alan Marangoni, and Matteo Montaguti took second place in the team pursuit. He won his first road cycling victory with U.C. nearly two years later. Trevigiani finished third in San Bernardino di Lugo, and second in San Dona di Piave. He won his first stage in the Giro Ciclisto Pesche Nettarine di Romagna, where he finished in Lugo, Emilia-Romagna. After securing third place in the Roncoleva di Trevenzuola, he won stage 1 of Giro del Veneto. He finished second in three additional races that season, including the Mezzano Iferiore and the Ponton Criterium, as well as the Somma Lombardo. He had four more wins at amateur level in 2007, starting with the Memorial Danilo furlan and two stages of the Giro Ciclisto Pesche Nettarine di Romagna. He also won a stage of the Giro del Veneto this season, the fifth stage that ended in Cassola. He was also second in Trofeo alcide Degasperi, GP Cementizillo and third in Somma Lombardo.
Belletti signed his first professional contract in 2008 and started riding for Diquigiovanni-Androni. He was sent by the team to Venezuela for the 2008 Vuelta a Venezuela. There he finished in second place in stages 1 through 6. Belletti returned to Venezuela after the stage race, and he rode in the Clasico Ciclistico Bangoandes. This race covers 149.7 kms (93.0 mi) with Punto Fijo as the start and Coro as the finish. Belletti won the race after 3 hours 38 minutes and 15 seconds to win his first professional victory.
For the 2012 season Belletti made a change to the French team Ag2r–La Mondiale. In the first couple of months of the season he could not continue the form of the previous years as he just managed to finish in fifth position in the third stage of the Tirreno–Adriatico and in the Scheldeprijs.
