The team disbanded in 2013 due to scheduling conflicts.

Assoumani started his career with Montpellier HSC in the French First Division on 18 August 2001. He played 72 matches in the club’s D1 division, 29 in D2, and scored four goals. He joined the German club after five seasons. FC Saarbrucken and, subsequently, Sportfreunde Siegen. Assoumani was a trial player at Sheffield United before joining Leeds United. However, he failed to impress enough to be offered a permanent contract.
After a successful trial, Assoumani was offered a one-month contract with League One Leeds United. He also scored a goal against York City. Three days later, he made his debut in a 3-1 loss to Milton Keynes Dons. Although he played at right-back for the first half, Lubomir Michalik was substituted at half-time and Assoumani sat at centre-back for the second half.
Assounami signed for League Two side Stockport County on 2 August 2010. Assoumani scored his first goal for County in their 2–0 win over Macclesfield Town on 4 September 2010.
