Ross was a collaborator with many artists in the 1990s, including former Josef K bandmate Paul Haig and Edwyn Collins. Ross was also hired to be a musical consultant for The Beatles biographical film Backbeat (1993), where he played guitar with Johnny Depp.
Ross has released two solo albums on the German record label Marina Records: Low Shot (1995), and Happy Boy (1998). Re-Action Recordings released a compilation of Ross’s work in 2006. He also recently performed as part of Barry Adamson’s live band. Ross will collaborate with Lenny Henry and Hulk Hogan in the future, and he will also produce Erskine’s debut album.
