He collaborated again with 70mm Entertainments in 2019 and produced Yatra, the biographical movie of the Late Chief Minister Mr.Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy. Mammootty was the main character in the film, as YSR. The plot was based on real events that led to him to the Padhayatra, which made him the Chief Minister for Andhra Pradesh in 2004. During the 2019 election to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, the YSR Congress Party used the slogan “Nenu vinnanu Nenu unnanu”, which Mahi wrote. It has also been titled to the book on political campaigns by Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy (current Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh).
He directed the comedy horror Anando Brahma in 2017, after the critically acclaimed Pathasala. Anando Brahma was funded by 70mm Entertainments. He broke all of the horror comedy cliches and received a lot of support from the audience. Petromax was remade in Tamil and Mane Maratakkide Kannada.
