Madleen Kane is one of the most popular and richest Singer who was born on March 4, 1958 in Malmö Municipality, Skåne, Sweden. Madleen Kane, a Swedish model and singer was born in Malmo on 4 March 1958. She was a former Elite fashion model, weighing in at 180cm / 5’11” and weighing 47kg /103 lbs. She worked for Burda Moden, a German fashion magazine. Seminaked, she was published in Playboy magazine in April 1978 (French edition) and April 1979 (Spanish edition). She also had five Top 10 hits at the US Hot Dance Music/Club Play charts in the late 1970s/early 1980s.

Megatone recording artist Paul Parker and Ian Anthony Stephens from London teamed up to give Madleen “I’m No Angel”, which was a Billboard Dance Hit taken from Cover Girl’s 1985 album, Cover Girl. Madleen, who was tired of recording, died after the release of this album.

In 2011, Gold Legion reissued her album “Rough Diamond” on cd. In June 2016, Madleen performed in Miami at the Cafe Iguana in Miami, Florida. In 2018 she published her memoir “Rough Diamond” through Mindstir Media.

Madleen, a member of Prelude Records at the start of the 1980s moved to Chalet Records and released Sounds Of Love (1980). It featured Cherchez Pas, which was more electronic than her usual symphonic disco songs. It reached #18 in Sweden. Madleen worked later with Giorgio Moroder, Pete Bellotte and others. Giorgio Moroder still appeared in 1981 with his mixes with “Don’t wanna lose you” and helped Madleen’s album sales in Clubs, but not in radios. The Flashdance-influenced lead single, “You Can”, spent three weeks at the top of the Billboard Dance charts. It reached number 77 on Billboard Hot 100 in February 1982, Kane’s only entry to that chart. Following the album, Don’t Want to Lose You was released. This album was released again on Chalet Records, owned by Jean-Claude Friederich, her husband at the time. It was distributed by Tom Hayden, a dance promoter, and his TSR Record Company which would be Madleen’s next record company. Other hits include “Playing For Time”, “You Can”, “I’m No Angel,” and “Fire in My Heart.”

It was a hit not only in the U.S. but all over the world. Her singing career took off after she released Cheri in 1978. Madleen’s 1978 debut album Rough Diamond was released by CBS in France and Warner Bros. in North America shortly afterwards. It was a huge hit on the Billboard Dance Chart. She recorded a disco version C’est si bon for this album. The album was produced by Paris- based production duo Michaele, Lana and Paul Sebastian. They also worked with Theo Vaness on “Argentina Forever”, a Pacific Blue album.

Cheri (1979), Kane’s second CBS Disques S.A./Worm Bros. release. It featured “Forbidden Love”, an emotional “pop-opus” orchestrated by Thor Baldursson. A-side Suite of “Forbidden Love”, its title track, its breakdown “Fire In My Heart”, and “Secret Love Affair” gave Kane another club hit. It ran for more than 15 minutes. Jim Burgess remixed the song for a single. It was cut to just over 8 minutes. Canada’s wedding day favorite, “You and I”, is now a household name.

A collection of her hits, 12 Inches And More (1994) was her final release. She was apparently bored with the recording process. 12 Inches And More does not feature any of the extended mixes from her early career. Album versions are used in place of the remixes, possibly due to licensing issues. In January 2010, Madleen’s first two albums were reissued on the MP3 via Amazon.com.
