Loudy Wiggins is one of the most popular and richest Diver who was born on July 7, 1979 in Haifa, Haifa District, Israel. This competitive diver is well-known for his bronze medals at both the 2000 and 2004 Summer Olympics. He also won gold at the 2002, 2006 Commonwealth Games and the 2003 World Championships.
Wiggins was injured and could not participate in the 2008 Olympics. However, Briony Core, an Australian diver, won the 10 meter synchronized event.
Wiggins competed at her first Olympic Games for Diving when she was 17 years old at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. She won bronze in the 10m synchronised platform event at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, becoming the first Australian to win an Olympic medal in diving since Dick Eve in 1924 (with Rebecca Gilmore). She and Rebecca Gilmore were also the first Australian female Olympic diving medallists.
She won bronze at the 2001 World Aquatics Championships in Fukuoka after a successful year on the Diving Grand Prix circuit and was named Female Australian Diver of the Year. Loudy was known as being a powerful platform diver.
Loudy Tourky was born to a family of Palestinian origin. She spent most of her childhood in Australia and her early years in Haifa, Israel. Simon Wiggins, an Australian rules footballer, was her husband. They had a daughter in 2010, and a son 2013.
