Berardinetti was a Parliamentary Assistant to Minister of Labour from 2010 to 2011 and a PA to the Attorney General from 2011 to present.

He introduced a private bill to ban “gender-based pricing”, which means prices for similar or equivalent products and services (such as clothes, dry cleaning, and haircuts) may differ between men and women. He claimed that women are charged more for many services and products. The bill was only read twice before it was thrown out on the order papers.

Berardinetti served as a councillor on the Scarborough Council pre- amalgamation in 1988-1996. Berardinetti was born and raised in Scarborough, and is a lawyer. He attended the University of Toronto and the University of Windsor Law School, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1988. On October 25, 2010, Berardinetti’s wife Michelle won election as a Toronto City Councillor.
