Loco Max is one of the most popular and richest Amateur Wrestler who was born on March 10, 1972 in Mexico City, Mexico. Edgar Gabriel Morales Correa (born March 10, 1972, Mexico City) is a Mexican Lucha or professional wrestler who goes by the ringname Loco Max. He plays the role of a “Bad guy” (“rudo”) in Mexican wrestling. Loco Max Morales was a member of the Pandilla Guerrera, Los Guerreros Tuareg, and held the Mexican National Lightweight Championship.
Pandila Guerrera split from Los Guerreros del Infierno in mid-2007 to form their own identity and gain more success in CMLL. While Skandalo was added to the group’s roster, Sangre Azteca chose to join Los Guerreros. Nitro became the leader of the group. The group was repackaged under the name Los Guerreros Tuareg (“The Tuareg Warriors”) after being inspired by the Tuareg Nomadic tribal. The entrance music was more African-tribal and the robes worn to the ring. Guerrero complained about the Guerreros Tuareg team’s name and they were renamed Los Rebeldes del Desierto (“The Rebels of the Desert”), although Guerrero and the other members of the group were still referred to as Los Rebeldes Tuareg. The Guerreros Tuareg moniker was reverted back to Guerreros Tuareg after Guerrero left. Loco Max and Arkangel de La Muerte joined forces with Skandalo and Skandalo in December 2009 to represent Los Guerreros Tuareg at a tournament for Mexico’s vacant National Trios Championship. However, the Tuareg team was defeated by eventual tournament winners Mascara Drada, Metro, and Stuka Jr.
Sangre Azteca, El Koreano and other tournament participants defected from the group during the second Guapos U contest to form their own group called Pandilla Guerrera (“Gang of Warriors”) which is associated with CMLL’s main rudo group Los Guerreros del Infierno. Loco Max, Dr. X and Nitro joined the group, as did Arkangel del Muerte, Hooligan, Dr. X, Nitro and Dr. X. The Mexican City boxing and wrestling commission removed Loco Max from the Mexican National Lightweight Championship at some point after the creation of Pandilla Guerrera. This was presumably due to the lack of championship defenses since 2003. Loco Max was eliminated by La Mascara in the semi-finals of the first ever CMLL G1 Junior Climax Tournament on July 29, 2005. Loco Max and Rey Bucanero teamed up for the 2006 Gran Alternativa (“Great Alternative”) tournament. This tournament was a tag team tournament in which a relative novice is paired up with a veteran for one-night tournament. In the first round, the duo defeated Heavy Metal, El Texano Jr., but lost to Nitro and Ultimo Guerrero in the second round. Loco Max was eliminated from the 2006 Reyes del Aire tournament three months later.

Morales made his debut in the ring on May 3, 1993, under the ring name of “Loco Max” (Crazy Max/Mad Max). He worked for several years on the Mexican independent circuit. In the late 1990s, Loco Max started working for CMLL. He was primarily involved in their Guadalajara and Jalisco shows. He developed a storyline feud against Ricky Marvin during this time, where the two fought over the Mexican National Lightweight Championship held at the time by Marvin. Loco Max defeated Ricky Marvin to win his first championship in wrestling on March 12, 2001. Loco Max and Marvin were both able to work in Mexico City as CMLL’s main location because of the quality of their matches and the reactions from the fans to them.
2002 saw the creation of the Guapos University (“Hansome University”) by CMLL. This storyline was inspired by reality shows like the WWE Tough Enough Show. It sought a new member to join Shocker or Mascara Magica, a group called Los Guapos. Loco Max and El Terrible were among the contestants. Mr. Power and Genetico were also present. Tony Rivera, Ricky Marvin and Loco Max had to go through various ring challenges in order to be “worthy” of Los Guapos. Loco Max was expelled from the group midway through. El Terrible won and was made a Los Guapos member. Loco Max and Violencia teamed up in late 2003 to compete in a tournament for Mexico’s vacant National Trios Championship. However, the trio were eliminated by El Satanico, Mephisto, and Averno in the first round. Loco Max started to develop an in-ring character called “Loco”. Having lost touch with reality, Loco Max began talking and interacted with stuffed animals. Loco Max applied for the Guapos U contest in late 2003, but Los Guapos rejected him because he was crazy.
In mid-2012 Morales announced that he had left CMLL, thanking them for the many years he worked there and announced that he would be looking for opportunities outside of CMLL, travelling on the Mexican Independent circuit. One opportunity came in the International Wrestling League (IWL) where Loco Max started making regular appearances after leaving CMLL. He became part of IWL’s main Rudo group Los Mazisos along with Arana de Plata, Ciclope, Crazy King, Eterno, Humo, La Mazisa, Miedo Xtremo, Pequeno Cobra and Terremoto Negro. On June 18, 2013 Loco Max teamed up with Zumbido and Tony Rivera to win IWL’s Copa Criterio Extrema tournament, defeating Carta Brava, Jr., Cerebro Negro and Fantasma de la Opera in the finals. He also became a regular worker for the promotions in the Xalapa, Veracruz area, working extended storylines with local tecnicos losing his hair to both As del Espacio in 2013 and Corsario de Fuego in 2014
