He is currently the coach of IFK Kristianstad as well as the Slovenian national team.
He signed with MVM Veszprem in 2017 and the Hungary national soccer team in 2017, taking over both of these positions on July 2017.
Vranjes, who had retired as a player in 2009 was made the manager of Flensburg-Handewitt, a German team with which he won EHF Champions League 2013. He briefly coached the Serbian national handball team in 2013.
