Liu Yin is one of the most popular and richest Curler who was born on August 19, 1981 in Harbin, China. Liu Yin is a Chinese curler, born in Harbin (simplified Chinese Liu Yin / traditional Chinese Liu Yin ). She was third on the Chinese national team, skippered by Wang Bingyu for many years.
Liu was again throwing second stones at the 2007 Pacific Championships. This team won the second Pacific Championship. Liu was promoted to third place for the 2008 Ford World Women’s Curling Championship, where she won a silver medal – China’s first ever medal at a World Championship. Liu has been playing third for the team since then. In 2008, she won her third Pacific Championship. This was followed by a gold at the 2009 Winter Universiade. Most importantly, Liu received a World Championship gold at the 2009 World Women’s Championship.
Liu Yin competed for Team China at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia. Her team qualified for the playoffs, but in the Semifinal match they lost to eventual Gold medalists Team Sweden. In the Bronze medal match they faced Team Switzerland skipped by Torino Silver medalist Mirjam Ott. They Chinese pulled off a 12 -6 victory and became the first curling team from an Asian nation to win an Olympic medal.
Liu married in 2011. Her husband is an ice hockey coach.
In 2006-07, Liu was the last rock thrower for the team. Wang was the skip and held the broom. They won their first Pacific Championship, a bronze medal at the Asian Winter Games and a disappointing 7th place finish at 2007 World Women’s Curling Championship.

Since 2002, Liu has been playing internationally for China. She was an alternate member of the Pacific Curling Championships team when she had just started curling for two year.

The team came in 7th place. Liu played lead in the team’s 2005 Pacific Championships. She then played third at the 2006 Ford World Women’s Curling Championship where she finished fifth.
Just a month after the Olympics, Liu and Team China competed at the 2010 World Championship in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, where they finished a disappointing 7th out of 12 teams. Later in 2010 Liu returned to the Pacific Curling Championship, losing to Korea in the final to earn a silver medal for the third time.
