Lisa Singh is one of the most popular and richest Politician who was born on February 20, 1972 in Hobart, Australia. Singh is the granddaughter Ram Jati Singh. He was a member the Fijian Legislative council (the precursor to the current Fijian Parliament) during the 1960s. Raman Pratap Singh is a Fijian politician and past President of the National Federation Party. He was also a Member of Parliament between 1994 and 1999. In 2014, he failed to regain his seat.

Singh was also the President and President of the YWCA Tasmania, as well as the President and President of United Nations Association Tasmania. On 25 November 2008, then-Premier David Bartlett announced that Singh would enter Cabinet as Minister for Corrections and Consumer Protection, Minister for Workplace Relations, and Minister Assisting the Premier on Climate Change. She was sworn in at a ceremony at Government House on 26 November 2008. As minister, Singh introduced legislative reforms in workers compensation, corrections, climate change and asbestos management.

Singh served as an advisor to Senator Sue Mackay from 1999 to 2001. Singh was then appointed Director of the Tasmanian Working Women’s Centre. She campaigned for equal pay and paid parental leave. After serving on the Australian National Executive, Singh is now a member Emily’s List.
