Lisa Dawn Lougheed (/’ lAU h i/ ; low heed; September 9, 1968) was a Canadian singer, dancer, and voice actor. Her role as Lisa Raccoon on animated TV series The Raccoons is her most well-known. She also sang various songs from the series, including “Run with Us”.
Peace & Harmony was her third album. Since 1993, Cold Lake Air Cadet Summer Training Centre has used “Won’t Give up My Music”, a Juno-nominated song. To celebrate the graduation of service band graduates, the song is accompanied with a shuffle.
“Run with Us” was also used for the end credits to Jason Eisener’s 2011 Canadian exploitation film Hobo with a Shotgun.
Her second album, World Love, was released by Warner Music Canada in 1992. Lougheed was nominated for two Juno Awards by the end of 1992: ‘Best Dance Recording” (for “World Love” & “Love Vibe”), and a Canadian Music Video Award (“Love Vibe”)

Lougheed attended Etobicoke School of the Arts as a teenager. Lougheed was still in high school when she was hired to be a singer and dancer in a musical revue at Canada’s Wonderland. She was 17 when she started her career as a voice actor on the TV series Vid Kids. She was soon able to get her most famous role, as Lisa in The Raccoons. She sang Run with Us, the theme song of the show, which was released in 1987 as a single.
She released Evergreen Nights in 1988. It was the soundtrack to The Raccoons. In 1989, she received a Juno nomination as “Most Promising Female Voice of the Year”.
After the success of Peace & Harmony, Lougheed disappeared from the major music scene, most recently being credited for minor vocal work with Celine Dion and R. Kelly as well as on Oprah Winfrey’s theme song. She was married to another singer, is now divorced and living in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The couple had one child: Jared Rutledge, born in 1994.
