She is the daughter Helvinn Emil Schorring J. Alice Gunna Johansen (1915-1975) and Helvinn Emil Schorring J. She was six years old when she took the role of Columbine at the Tivoli Concert hall. In 1963, she entered the Royal Danish Ballet School. She joined the company in 1974, and was a solo dancer by 1980.

Jeppesen was married to Jan Boris Pedersen on 26 September 1987. They have two children, Mathilde (1994) and Amalie (1987). After 26 years of performing, she decided to retire from active dancing in 1998. Since then, she has been a coach and character dancer.

Jeppesen starred as two of the most important roles in 1979. She was in Erik Bruhn’s Giselle and Bounonville’s La Sylphide. She was promoted to soloist the following year and took on a number of important roles in the 1980s including Teresina, Svanilda, and Elenora at The Kermesse in Bruges. Her Swanilda was given special praise by Anna Kisselgoff, The New York Times. She described her “tenderness” and “charm simply not seen anywhere else”, and her “puffed cheek and wide-eyed humor”.
