Lincoln “Link” Jarrett, born January 26, 1972, is an American college baseball coach. He was also a former shortstop. He is the University of Notre Dame’s head baseball coach. Jarrett was a college baseball player at Florida State University, where he played for Mike Martin from 1991 to 1994. From 2013 to 2019, he was the University of North Carolina at Greensboro’s head coach.
Jarrett was the Pirates’ four-season coach. He made three NCAA Tournament appearances. This included a Conference USA Championship and regional championship that led to an NCAA super regional in 2009. He was awarded Conference USA Assistant Coach Of The Year by SEBaseball.com for his efforts in 2009. From 2006 to 2009, East Carolina averaged 40 wins per season.
On July 26, 2012, Jarrett was hired at UNC Greensboro, his first head coaching position. UNCG’s overall record in 2016 led the SoCon and was UNCG’s most successful season since 1997. Jarrett’s program at UNCG has also been recognized nationally by the American Baseball Coaches Association for overall academic performance. 2017 gave UNCG its first conference championship since 1998 and the Spartans first post-season appearance since 1997. Since 2009 Jarrett has produced 10 NCAA Statistical Championships in different offensive categories. In the time that Jarrett has been at UNCG there have been 29 school records that have been broken.
On July 12, 2019, Jarrett was named the head baseball coach at the University of Notre Dame.
Jarrett was Mercer’s recruiting coordinator in 2004 and 2005. Jarrett was able to see the Bears win twice as much in his second season than he did his first, and they won their first ever winning season since 1999. Jarrett then accepted the same job at East Carolina.

Jarrett played shortstop four years for the Florida State Seminoles and was part of three College World Series. Jarrett holds the All-Time NCAA Assists Record of 802. He was an NCBWA All-American for 1993 and 1994 and earned All- ACC honors. Jarrett graduated with the Seminole record for consecutive games, at bats and assists. The Colorado Rockies drafted him in the 22nd round, 1994 MLB Draft. After five years playing in the Rockies, he reached the class-AA New Haven Ravens and then switched to coaching. Jarrett was a New Haven hitter who hit.303 in 1997. He was also named “Most Spectacular Defender Player” after the 1994 season in Bend.
Jarrett started his coaching career as an assistant coach at Flager in 1999. He remained there for three seasons. He helped the Saints to set many school records and they won 40 games in 2001. In 2003, he returned to Florida State to help the Seminoles win 53 games, an ACC regular-season championship and a super regional berth.
In 2010, Jarrett moved to Auburn, where he worked for three seasons, earning Southeastern Conference Assistant Coach of the Year from SEBaseball.com. In his time at Auburn, the Tigers appeared in three SEC Tournaments, Won the SEC West Regular Season Championship, Hosted the 2010 Auburn Regional, averaged 34 wins, and saw 19 players drafted in the Major League Baseball Draft. The Auburn hitters also broke 7 school records under his guidance. Jarrett’s teams have led the NCAA in 8 offensive categories since 2009. Jarrett has been a part of conference championships in the ACC, Conference USA, and the SEC. Overall Jarrett’s teams have led their conference statistically in 36 categories over the last 9 seasons.
